This policy describes how Tandem Audio ("Tandem," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Tandem Audio application and this website.

The app

Tandem Audio collects no personal data. Audio is routed directly between devices on your Mac and never leaves your machine. We do not record, store, transmit, or sell your audio.

Tandem does not require an account, an email address, or any personal information to function.

Optional diagnostics. The app includes an optional diagnostics feature that is off by default. If you choose to enable it, any data generated contains no audio and no personally identifying information.

This website

Fathom Analytics (always on)

This website uses Fathom Analytics for cookieless pageview counting. Fathom collects no personal data, uses no advertising cookies, builds no individual profiles, and does not track you across other websites. No consent is required because no personal data is processed. Fathom is GDPR-compliant.

PostHog (opt-in)

This website also uses PostHog for deeper analytics — click events, scroll depth, and feature usage. PostHog loads only after you explicitly opt in via the consent banner or the "Privacy choices" button in the footer.

If you decline, PostHog is not loaded and no data is sent. PostHog does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other sites. We configure it to use localStorage rather than cookies, and to build profiles only for identified users — we have no identified users on this marketing site, so no personal profiles are created.

Your choices

You can review or change your PostHog analytics preferences at any time using the "Privacy choices" button in the site footer.

Purchases

Purchases and refunds are handled entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store. Apple's own privacy policy and terms govern that transaction. Tandem never receives your payment details.

Data retention

Because the Tandem app collects no personal data, there is nothing to retain or delete on our end. If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry.

Children's privacy

Tandem Audio is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
