Tandem Audio takes a privacy-first approach. This page explains exactly what analytics run on this website, how consent works, and what data — if any — is collected.
Fathom Analytics
This site uses Fathom Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-focused analytics tool. Fathom is always active because it does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. It is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and ePrivacy without requiring consent.
PostHog Analytics
We also use PostHog, a product-analytics tool that loads only after you opt in through the consent banner. It records which pages and features people use so we know what to work on next. We do not create identified profiles for anonymous visitors, and PostHog is never loaded at all unless you say yes.
Your choices
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you'd like to allow PostHog analytics. If you decline, it never loads. You can change your mind at any time with the "Privacy choices" link in the footer, or by clearing the "tandem-consent" key from your browser's localStorage. Either way, no tracking cookies are ever set on this site.
No advertising or third-party tracking
This site does not use ad networks, social-media trackers, retargeting pixels, or browser fingerprinting. There are no third-party scripts beyond the two analytics tools described above.
The app
The Tandem Audio Mac app collects zero data. No audio ever leaves your Mac, no telemetry is sent, and no accounts or personal information are required. Everything stays on your device.
